MOVE AROUND AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
Try walking up and down the aisles to help minimize swollen feet and ankles. Putting your feet upon the edge of your carry-on can help keep the seat edge from cutting off the circulation in your legs as well.
USE A CUSHION
Place the airline cushion, or your own, behind the small of your back. Inflatable cushions are handy for travel and can be purchased for as little as a dollar.
Set your watch
By setting your watch to your destination time as soon as you get on the plane, you'll already be ahead of the game!
Pack extra
Sometimes it's handy to pack an extra sweater and a pair of thick socks in the carry-on by your feet. You may not need it when you take off, but having it near you will be convenient if you feel chilly later.
RELIEVE AIR PRESSURE
Try to pop your ears before takeoff by pinching your nose , closing your mouth, and attempting to blow air through your nostrils. Swallow frequently during your flight or chew gum.
